The beach house lies within walking distance of the trail which leads to the peak of Mt. Nosoko, which some say offers the finest panoramic view to be found on Ishigaki island. To the south lies the mangrove-lined river Fukidou, a popular spot amongst people interested in eco-tours, including kayaking. Take a picturesque drive along the Hirakubo peninsula to Ishigaki's northernmost point, which is marked by a lighthouse set against a stunning backdrop. On the way you could stop off at the ever-popular Sunset Beach.

Although the fully-equipped kitchen is ideal for people wishing to self-cater, there area a number of restaurants in the area for the times when you'd rather have somebody else cook for you.
