The small town of Nosoko is located on Ishigaki's north coast, not far from the base of the Hirakubo peninsula. Take in some of Ishigaki's breathtaking natural beauty during a drive to the Hirakubo lighthouse which is located at the peninsula's northern cape.The mangrove-lined Fukidou river lies just a short walk from the beach village, and you could even take a hike to the peak of Mt. Nosoko, which offers one of the finest views to be found on Ishigaki island. A number of eco tour / kayaking companies operate in the area.

Directions
Start by heading north from Ishigaki city towards the Omoto tunnel. Once you've passed through the tunnel you'll soon come to a junction. Take a right here for 'Ibaruma'. After about 7km you'll arrive in the town of Nosoko (note that you'll pass through another small town on the way). The pictures below should help you to find the beach village.
This sign is found about 200m after Nosoko's school. Take the next turn on the left.
Take another left at this sign. You'll soon arrive at the beach village on your left.
