Apnea Adventures

We offer a range of kayak-based guided tours on the north coast of Ishigaki where the natural environment is supported by fresh spring water which flows from the base of Mt.Omoto. In order to avoid damaging sensitive coral in shallow coastal areas we make use of kayaks to reach outer areas of the reef. This not only widens the area which can be explored but it allows us to access locations where the coral is most beautiful. Our most popular tour is the combined 'blue cave' kayaking and snorkeling experience. Our guide is a qualified NAUI snorkeling instructor. Group sizes are kept to a minimum, ranging from 2 to 6 individuals at a time.

The tour starts with a paddle out to one of Ishigaki's secret spots - the 'blue cave', which is located on the north coast. Try your hand at 'skin diving' as our guide slowly pulls the kayaks along the edge of the reef. Guidance will be provided for beginners.
